Buying a Domain Through Wix

Domains - they’re the magical little addresses that point people to wherever your website is being hosted on the web.

But dude, those free branded domains such as www.wix.yourwebsite.com or the Wordpress/other platform equivalent are not going to cut it.

I'll be blunt... it looks unprofessional. Like really really.

You can purchase your own domain name directly from Wix! When purchasing a domain from Wix, the domain is automatically connected to the Wix servers.

To purchase a domain:

1. Click here to buy a new domain.

2. Enter your domain name and suffix in the search field and then click Search.

3. If the domain is available, click Get It to register it directly on Wix. Note: If the domain is not available, go back to step 2 and try another domain or suffix.

4. Select the registration period and click Continue.

5. Enter (or edit) your contact information and click Continue.

6. Select a privacy option

7. Click Continue.

8. Select your payment method and click Submit Purchase.

To connect your domain, you must upgrade your site to one of our Premium Plans. Receive a free domain voucher when you purchase a yearly Combo, Unlimited, Pro, VIP, Business Basic, Business Unlimited or Business VIP Premium Plan.

If you purchased a domain from another domain host, you can still connect it to your Wix site. You can also transfer your domain to Wix to manage everything domain-related within your Wix account. Click here to learn more.
